Quick Nut Fudge

Submitted by Wendy
Quick nut fudge

1 pound powder sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
6 TBSP. butter
4 TBSP. milk
1 TBSP. vanilla
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Combine all ingredients except nuts in top of double boiler. Place over simmering water and stir until smooth. Add nuts and mix. Spread candy quickly in buttered
9 x 5 pan. Cool; cut into squares.

Yield: 2 dozen pieces.

This has been used since my great grandmother. If you do not have a double boiler, you can put everything on a very low flame and stir constantly until smooth.
